Common Questions

Why can't my child access an app?
Common reasons include: the app has not been selected during Child Setup, no earned minutes are available, the earned session has expired, or Apple's Screen Time settings are still restricting the app.

Why does setup require Family Controls permissions?
TimeKey uses Apple's Family Controls and Managed Settings frameworks to help parents manage access to selected apps. These permissions are required for core functionality.

Why does my child not see a task immediately?
Tasks may take a few moments to synchronize between devices after being created or updated.

Why does an app relock?
Apps relock when earned time is used up, a session expires, or parent controls are re-applied.
